Section 489. Tampering with property mark with intent to cause injury

This section specifies that whoever removes, destroys, defaces or adds to any property mark with which any property is marked, with the intent to cause injury or knowledge that injury is likely to be caused thereby, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.
